I would be very interested in seeing this project completed, the idea of witnessing history being made is so cool. The pictures look fascinating; I wonder how life will be there...
the red sea attracts much more tourists than the persian gulf, yes i said persian cuz i dont give a sh1t whether it's arabian, persian or even venezuelano, lo siento tengo hambre...
anyhoo... so on the long run, and if you put expansions in mind, i think the red sea coast is a better less crowded place to start this. hopefully something like it emerges in the east.

its not only more attractive for tourist, the port in the red sea means less travel time for ships coming from eroupe and US.
Did you notice it is planned in the same location as "Juzur Al-Bunduqya" that was all over the news a while ago. It was a big scandal with that guy taking money and running away.
