BHR:TRI 0:1

Bahrain lost yesterday. Trinidad scored in the first half. Bahrain wasn't playing as good as it should've. One Bahraini player managed to steal the ball from the goalie at the end of the game, he passed it over the goalie and went and put it in the net. The ref blew his whistle though and called it off and red carded a Bahraini player. Was it a good call? I really don't know. At first, it looked like a good call, but while watching the replays, we weren't really sure. All in all, Bahrain did their best and reached a new high by being a game away from reaching the World Cup. Hopefully next time they'd qualify. Good luck Bahrain, and congrats Trinidad and Tobago.

Comments:
You cannot get closer than this to the World Cup. A home game, home fans, you are coming in with a 1-0 advantage. All you had to do is run the clock, 90 minutes away from getting to Germany 2006 .......... !!!!

The Trinidad goal was scored early in the 2nd half not the 1st.
And about the Bahraini cancelled goal, if im not wrong, the referee whistled as soon as he saw the Bahraini player take the ball from the goalie, so the Bahraini player should have stopped there, instead of continuing.
So it was over before it started. (but im not 100% sure)
I think the problem with Bahrain players is that they thought they had it in the bag (I think we all did too), since Trinidad really played bad in the 1st game. Better luck next time.
I also heard that Bahrain won’t be allowed to play their (2010 world cup qualification home games) in Bahrain because the crowed was out of control when they lost, and they started to throw the stadium’s seats and other things to the pitch.

PS: khalid, who said they had a 1-0 advantage? it was 1-1

Turkey won't play for sure, imagine loosing out on 2 world cups in a row after the great performance they put 3 years ago

i wanted them to qualify.

After the Bahrain/ Trinidad 2nd game, Bahraini sport's officials sent a complain to the FIFA. They were complaining about their cancelled goal.
FIFA has rejected that complain recently.

so the (BHR 0 - TRI 1) score stands.

its a shame what happend to Turkey.
