Kuwait, Qater, the UAE each gave $100 million (Kuwait also pledged $400 million in oil!). Saudi Arabia gave $5.25 million ($5 million from Aramco and $250K from something called Agfund?). No other countries come even close to those donations, even though those economies are relatively very small (Japan donated $200K plus $1.5 million in private donation). Talk about misallocation of resources! Take a look at the full list.

Forget about UAE, Kuwait gave a total of $500 MILLION ($400 million in oil). WTF! Do they really believe that if they went out on the street and asked everyone in their country if they could use that money they'd say no? I'm not against giving but $500 million for a tiny economy is a bit, no WAY, too much!
Plus i'm pretty sure that there are many other countries who need this money more than the richest country in the world! The US (federal) government's budget is around $2.5 TRILLION last time I checked. That's why the countries with brains (UK, Germany, Japan, etc.) did not donate money, they know the US doesn't need money, they donated supplies and experts but the idiots in the Gulf think that money can solve all problems.
