ABOUT BEFORE RELOADING

A label on Abdulaziz's printer reads: "remove paper before reloading." When he read those words he thought to himself, so should be the process of change and learning. To learn and to change we need to "remove" our pre-conceptions and acknowledge their existence. Then, we must work with them, adjusting until we can combine them with the new ideas we are trying to "load" into our brains. Only when we find a ground that accommodates both our pre-conceptions and the new ideas does it become safe to "reload" our brains. We should take the advice of Hewlett-Packard and approach new ideas with an open mind, and not let our old ideas affect our outputs.
